Mozilla Thunderbird, Portable Edition Revision 2 Released

Thunderbird logoMozilla Thunderbird, Portable Edition Revision 2 has been released in English, Italian, German, French, Japanese and Simplified Chinese. It’s the popular Mozilla Thunderbird email client bundled with a PortableApps.com launcher as a portable app. This release updates Mozilla Thunderbird to and has an improved launcher and installer which now correctly handle mimtype associations and remove invalid settings. It’s packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Suite. And it’s open source and completely free.

Note: The original installer contained a debug message that could confuse some users. This was removed and the release was reposted as Revision 2.

New In This Release

The included Thunderbird has been updated to (release notes). The launcher has been updated to properly handle custom file associations in the mimetypes.rdf. The installer will remove large/corrupt mimetypes.rdf files.
