H1N1 Flu No Longer A Concern

Filed under: Uncategorized — ioconnor @ 8:08 pm

Seriously. Nobody outside of Mexico is dying from this. Not to belittle it too much but why are we concerned about it. It has less chance of killing me than a common cold. Perhaps there’s something else going on in Mexico? Perhaps their health care system is horrible? According to the latest World Health Organization report, nearly a decade old now, the Mexican health care system is not too hot. They are in the top 33% and we are in America are in the top 20%. Somewhere in that 13% difference between us we are doing something correctly.

It would be good to keep the fervor just to give the medical community something useful to do. Something other than creating another aspirin pill to patent. UPDATE 2009.05.03: If the medical researchers don’t have something useful to do like chase after the H1N1 then they will continue to make fake websites with fake studies as Merck does on a seemingly regular basis. (Merck is that huge pharmaceutical company guided by CEO Donald Rumsfeld before he guided our war against Iraq and Afghanistan.) Merck just got busted again and you can read up on it here:
