Regrowing Missing Teeth

The Washington Post has an interesting article that caught my interest.

It turns out that wisdom teeth are prolific sources of the kind of adult stem cells needed to grow new teeth for you. From scratch. In your adult life, as you need them. In the near future. According to the National Institutes of Health.

So what about all of us with cavities? Are dentists going to pull them and plant new ones? Ouch. Though I still have my wisdom teeth I’m not about to have them mess about with me until they’ve got this going for at least 20 years.

I’d much rather find a way of repairing my existing teeth. Surely there must be a way to repair teeth?

Why didn’t the Washington Post provide a link to the National Institute of Health? Many questions remain…
